Mosquito-borne diseases and their consequences are known to all. People easily get prone to diseases like malaria, dengue, which are usually spread from mosquitoes. Till today there is no specific vaccine or any treatment for dengue fever.

Since there is no vaccination or any generic treatment for the dengue viruses, it is significant that the symptoms of the disease should be treated as soon as possible.

Here are a few health care tips to deal with the disease.

If the dengue symptoms are left unchecked, then the sickness may progress to the next stage that is known as Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. This fever usually causes internal bleeding which is then followed by a shock.

Symptoms for dengue generally involve speedy onset and reappearance of a very high fever, nausea, dehydration, tiredness, fatigue and extreme joint pain as well as headache. Similar to any other viral fever that carries flu-like signs and symptoms, victims with dengue fever normally suffer from overtiredness. Some people may even suffer from acute pain where it becomes impossible to sleep for several days.

Dengue fever victims will usually observe that their body temperatures rise suddenly and quickly, and then come to normal as instantly as it rose, and then again it rises rapidly. The body temperature of the victim will often reach up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

The initial spike of the body temperature generally lasts for about two to three days, which is followed by a day with normal temperature for some time when a patient feels a bit well, just to see that the body temperature rises again and also remains elevated for some more days. And with this high-fever sickness, “burning of eyes”, dehydration, as well as heavy sweating are few more most common symptoms seen in the victim suffering from dengue.

As mentioned earlier there is so such generic treatment or vaccine for dengue fever, thus the best alternative is to treat the dengue symptoms itself. While on the other hand, one must remember that medicines like aspirin or some anti-inflammatory and non-steroidal medications should not be consumed to treat severe pain and fever.

These drugs and medicines are very dangerous to the patients who are suffering from internal bleeding due to Dengue hemorrhagic fever, and it can worsen their condition with heavy loss of blood.

However, a pain killer will surely be appropriate, but that too with the concern of the doctor. Patients suffering from dengue fever should drink as much as fluids to avoid dehydration in the body that occurs naturally with such a prolonged high temperature in the body. Thus, it necessary to avoid the disease by protecting ourselves from mosquitoes by keeping the surroundings clean and free from mosquitoes.
